Shipping & Delivery Policy

1. Nature of Service

StayInVaranasi is a digital marketplace for accommodation services in Varanasi, India. We do not sell, ship, or deliver any physical products. All transactions on the platform are for digital service delivery: accommodation booking confirmations.

Because we are a service platform and not a goods retailer, traditional "shipping" and "delivery" terminology does not apply. This policy explains how our digital service delivery works.

2. How Service Delivery Works

  1. You browse properties on our platform and select one to book
  2. You complete payment via Razorpay (UPI, card, net banking, or wallet)
  3. Within 2-15 minutes, you receive a booking confirmation email at the address you provided
  4. The host receives a parallel notification with your contact details
  5. You proceed to the property on your check-in date and present your booking confirmation

3. Confirmation Delivery Time

  • Booking confirmation email: within 15 minutes of successful payment
  • SMS confirmation (where applicable): within 30 minutes
  • Host contact: shared with you in the confirmation email

If you do not receive a confirmation within 30 minutes of payment, check your spam/promotions folder. If still not found, contact us at hello@stayinvaranasi.com with your payment reference.

4. Service Delivery Date

The actual service (your stay) begins on the check-in date you selected at the time of booking. The check-in time is set by the individual host and shown on the property detail page.

Standard check-in window: 12:00 PM (noon) – host varies

Standard check-out time: 11:00 AM next-day or as set by host

5. Service Area

StayInVaranasi serves accommodation in Varanasi (Banaras), Uttar Pradesh, India only. We do not list or arrange accommodation outside this city.

Localities covered: Assi Ghat, Dashashwamedh, Lanka, BHU area, Sarnath, Godowlia, Cantonment, Sigra, Maldahiya, and surrounding areas.

6. International Customers

We accept bookings from international travellers. The booking confirmation email is delivered in English and includes the property address in both English and Hindi/Devanagari script (where available) for use with local taxi/auto drivers.

7. Failed Confirmation Delivery

If a booking is paid for but confirmation delivery fails due to technical issues:

  • The booking is still valid and recorded in our system
  • You can retrieve your booking via the email/phone used at checkout
  • Contact hello@stayinvaranasi.com with your Razorpay payment reference for immediate manual confirmation
  • If the failure is on our end and the booking cannot be honoured, you receive a 100% refund

8. No Physical Shipping

We do not:

  • Sell or ship any physical products
  • Charge any shipping or handling fees
  • Use any courier service (FedEx, DHL, India Post, etc.)
  • Provide tracking numbers

All charges paid through Razorpay are for accommodation booking only. There are no hidden delivery fees.

9. Cancellation Before Service Delivery

Bookings can be cancelled before check-in subject to our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Refunds (where eligible) are processed via Razorpay within 5-10 business days.
